Terms of Service
Last updated September 27, 2026
Draft for review. The highlighted amount is a placeholder to fill in. Have a qualified lawyer review these terms for the countries where you offer Jibat before launch.
1. Who we are
Jibat is provided by Quadlum LLC ("we", "us"), a Minnesota limited liability company. You can reach us at hello@quadlum.com. By installing or using Jibat, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. What Jibat does
Jibat is a mobile app that helps you track time worked and estimate what you've earned, using pay rules you enter (rates, overtime, premiums, tips and similar). Your data is stored on your device.
Jibat is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not payroll software, and it is not legal, tax, accounting or employment advice. The amounts it shows are estimates based on what you enter. Your employer's payroll, your employment contract and the law decide what you are actually owed.
3. Who can use it
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission. You're responsible for how you use the app and for keeping your device secure.
4. Your data and backups
Your earnings data stays on your device and in any backup or export files you choose to create. We don't hold a copy, so we can't recover data you lose. Keeping backups is your responsibility. See the Privacy Policy.
5. Free, trial and Pro
- Jibat has a free version with limits described in the app and on our pricing section.
- A new install may receive a free trial of Pro (30 days at the time of writing). No payment is taken for a trial. When it ends, the app moves to the free version unless you subscribe.
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price, billing period and renewal terms are shown before you buy. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by the store under its terms. See the Refund Policy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period for Apple subscriptions, or as the store requires.
- We may change prices or features for future billing periods. The store will tell you about price increases as its rules require.
- If a subscription ends, your tracked data stays available on your device.
6. Acceptable use
Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app except where the law allows it, and don't use it to break the law or to interfere with the app or other people.
7. Our rights
Jibat, its design, code and content belong to Quadlum LLC or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the store's terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support.
8. Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop features, or stop offering the app. We'll try to give reasonable notice of major changes. If we stop offering the app, your data stays on your device and you can export it.
9. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy of calculations, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. Always check important figures against your pay records.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Quadlum LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost wages or profits, or lost data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or [amount] if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop using Jibat at any time by deleting it (and cancelling any subscription in your store account). We may end your right to use it if you seriously break these terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or on this site before it takes effect. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
